Head of Mathematics

Main/Upper Pay Range (Outer London) + TLR 1b

We are looking to appoint a full-time Head of Mathematics from September 2025 to join our large and successful Maths, Business, ICT/Computer Science and Economics Faculty.

You will have a love of Mathematics and belief in the ability of every student to enjoy and achieve in the subject, as well as the ability to lead and inspire a committed team of teachers to sustain high standards of teaching and learning and achievement.

This post has arisen as a result of the promotion of the current postholder (Head of Maths and Head of Faculty) to the position of Assistant Headteacher in another local school. A Head of Faculty position will be advertised internally following the appointment to this role and the successful candidate will therefore be eligible to apply.

Leadership Pay Range (L5-L9) depending on experience

We are looking to appoint a full-time Head of Faculty from September 2025 to lead our large and successful Modern Foreign Languages Faculty and to lead one of these subjects/languages. You will be responsible for leading, managing and developing all subject areas within the faculty, in collaboration with the various Heads of Department.

You will have a proven track record of leading curriculum development, developing teaching, learning and assessment, raising student achievement and supporting and managing a team of people.

Assistant Headteacher (Pastoral & Inclusion)

We are looking to appoint an exceptional leader to the position of Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for behaviour, pastoral care and inclusion. 

We are looking for someone with a commitment to the provision of high quality pastoral care and inclusion, as well as experience in promoting high standards of behaviour.

The successful candidate will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and will also  contribute to the work of the safeguarding team, acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. You will be expected to work with external agencies, students, parents/carers and staff and be an advocate for our children and young people, ensuring they receive early help, targeted support and intervention within and beyond school. You will provide strategic leadership and oversight of our schools’ pastoral provision and behaviour systems, working in partnership with others to support all students, including our most vulnerable children and young people.  

You will have excellent inter-personal skills and have the highest expectations for yourself and others, supporting our teachers, staff and leaders to be the best they can be. You will be able to work both independently and as part of a wider team, prioritising workload accordingly.
